Business Travel Account Manager

Up to £35,000

Birmingham based

A highly successful and award winning Travel Management Company in Birmingham are looking for a Business Travel Account Manager to build strong relationships with a selective portfolio of medium to large revenue clients, ensuring they are extremely well looked after and have a clear single point of contact in case of problems.

This role would be a combination of office and home based.

These clients will be FTSE 100 companies, large private companies or public sector bodies.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep in contact with and maintain a close relationship with key contacts;
  • Monitor client satisfaction and identify, diagnose and remove any potential issues whilst ensuring the successful delivery of the agreed account management program;
  • Monitor monthly revenue from their portfolio and highlight any possible downturn in business;
  • Increase business from their portfolio through capture of their entire travel spends and ensuring that they are fully aware of the full array of the companies travel services;
  • Attend and present to senior stakeholders of their blue chip customers at quarterly review meetings.

Must haves:

  • A good communicator, well organised and used to working to tight deadlines and under pressure;
  • Confident interacting with clients both on the telephone and face to face, especially when dealing with issues;
  • Obsessed with providing an excellent service to our customers and passionate about teamwork;
  • Able to use ones own initiative to overcome problems;
  • Professional attitude when dealing with suppliers, customers and fellow colleagues;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint;
  • Ability to support the sales team in pitches and presentations to prospective customers by possessing excellent presentation skills, commercial awareness and an understanding of the sales process;
  • Open minded to technology, and the ability to embrace it, and familiar and comfortable working in a technology focussed business.
