Our client is a leading marketing specialist within the tourism industry, driving new business to all areas of the UK by supporting all that is tourism. They certainly know how to sell the UK as a tourist destination. If you join them, you will never want to go on holiday abroad again (and that isn’t a bad thing!) once you learn from them what the UK has to offer.
This travel job will be accountable for providing highly effective and efficient support to the sales team, to source and manage smaller customers of your own. You will work closely with the Business Development Managers and the Sales & Operations Director to ensure that all campaigns in the South of England & London run smoothly from the initial instruction to keeping up full communication with customers throughout the season, and follow through on all potential new leads – either generated by you or passed on from the sales team. Some of the smaller customers you will manage and so contribute to making sure the overall sales targets are achieved.
In addition, in this account executive job in travel you will:
- Do the background work on identifying new potential customers,
- Research new products and managing the database as well as the daily inquiries.
You will need to be the sort of person that can juggle lots of tasks at any one time and have a flexible and enthusiastic nature. You may be stepping out and looking for your first job in travel or be an established travel professional just smitten by what you are reading.
Although travel experience is not essential it would be highly advantageous.
