My client, a leading sporting and event management company based in Birmingham are keen to recruit a dynamic Accommodation & Events Manager, with flights reservations experience to lead its successful accommodation and events team! Do you want to work for a stable, expanding market leader in sport and event management? Do you want a varied, primarily office based events role, where you manage your clients' accommodation and events from start to finish, so no two days are the same? This would especially suit candidates with a background in events from hotels or event management companies that have also used a GDS system such as Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre or Worldspan. - Leading a team of accommodation events consultants, within a larger sporting and events management company
- Dealing primarily over the phone and email to arrange events from start to finish
- Taking enquiries from clients to arrange their event requirements for groups of 10 and more!
- Taking the initial brief and arranging venues, accommodation and travel for the event
- Booking flights on a GDS
- Being confident to negotiate with hoteliers, venues and suppliers to create your clients' event
- Understanding the need technical requirements, such as lighting and staging, and liaising with external suppliers to source such requirements

The ideal candidate will have both experience in organising accommodation and events, and ideally dealing with group flight bookings on GDS. You will be confident and pro-active in liaising with suppliers and have a real passionate for creating an event that exceeds your clients' expectations. Consideration will also be giving to those candidates who have some experience in events or conferences from a hotel environment, but who also have GDS flight reservations experience

Salary is very competitive in the region of £22000 - £25000 dependent on experience plus there are some fantastic company benefits!
