In a nutshell We're Virgin Holidays. And this is no ordinary travel sales role. Join us as a Retail Sales Consultant, and you will help our customers to once-in-a-lifetime experiences from luxury Caribbean beaches to African Safaris. It isn't just our customers who can experience this – our team get the amazing opportunity to use seven standby flights to travel anywhere on the Virgin network. The targets you have to meet are ambitious. But for those that succeed, the rewards are impressive.
Day to day Join us in a concession in a department store or supermarket and you won’t just be a sales person. You’ll be an entrepreneur, marketing guru and dreamweaver, using your imagination to set the scene for the customer’s perfect holiday. You'll know all our products like the back of your hand, and you will suggest ways for our customers to upgrade their holiday that really fit with their preferences. You will also drive new business through helping out with attention-grabbing events. Above all, you’ll surprise and delight our customers at all times – making sure they get the real star treatment.
About you You’ve worked in a commission-based sales environment, you understand the long-haul product and you can deliver impressive levels of customer service. Above all, you have the people skills and imaginative flair to sell luxury holidays alongside being committing to achieving targets and overcoming challenges. There is a great five week full time training course for this position which you will need to commit to:
· Week one: In Crawley on a development week facilitated by the Learning and Development team.
· Week two: Days 1 and 2 on TBOX training in a virtual learning environment from home. Days 3, 4 and 5 in store with your line manager.
· Week three: In store with a Retail University Professor experiencing in store training.
· Week four: In store with a Retail University Professor experiencing in store training.
· Week five: Days 1 - 4 in store with your line manager and day 5 you will have an end of Induction exam.
The order of the training may vary depending upon start date. There may also be times that your training is across weekends. Please be aware this is a guideline only and may be subject to change.
Please also be aware that your Retail University store may not be your nearest store so there may be periods of time where you will need to stay away from home.
