My client is looking to appoint a Hotel Reservations Consultant to take calls and conference enquires on a day to day basis. They are a busy office based in Newcastle upon Tyne and are hotel and conference reservations specialists.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Working in the Reservations Department your aim will be to get the best possible rates for the clients at hotels, conference and event venues.
The role will also involve meeting hotel representatives, negotiating rates for the corporate clients and dealing with any complaints and issues. Customer care will also be a large part of the position and the successful candidate will be confident, self-motivated person but can work as part of a team. The aim will also be to develop strong relationships and maximising revenue opportunities.
Excellent organisational and administration skills, commitment to delivering a high level of customer service, excellent telephone manner and high level of IT skills.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Ideally previous experience in a hotel reservation agency or hotel background would be an advantage as understanding how hotels operate, set rates etc is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in all areas of the business including booking corporate, conference/meeting rooms, exhibition accommodation and music industry tours.

INTERESTED:
The salary offered will be in the region of £16,500 / £17,000 per annum. Hours are Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.30 hrs with one hour for lunch. Holidays are 20 working days plus all Bank Holidays Pension Scheme.
