JOB TITLE:                           Cruise Sales Consultant

REPORTS TO:                       Team Manager

DIRECT REPORTS:             None

LOCATION:                          Based at our offices in Salford Quays or Homeworking

Purpose

To play a key role in achieving sales targets, whilst increasing bookings through effective lead management and customer service.

Principal Accountabilities

1.         To effectively manage incoming calls and emails to meet and exceed agreed sales profit and conversion targets.

2.         To provide excellent customer service standards via calls or email

3.         Follow agreed processes to minimise all errors, and ensure correct procedures are followed when processing any payments.

4.         Adhere to rosters communicated via Team Managers, and maximise call and email productivity in line with set targets.

5.          Ensure that all leads are managed in accordance with procedures, and that all promises to customers are kept

6.          Use outbound calls and emails efficiently and effectively to ensure that conversions are optimised, while also working to minimise call abandonment

7.          To maximise skills in using the booking systems and to make pro-active recommendations on how usage of the systems can be improved.

8.          To gain excellent product knowledge of all products offered, via training, briefings and awareness of the travel marketplace.

9.          To develop effective working relationships with other team members.

10.        To work within the policies and procedures of the company.

Special Features

  • Proven track record of excellent customer service skills
  • Motivation and ability to achieve and exceed challenging sales targets
  • Minimum of 6 months call centre sales or homeworking sales experience required, ideally in a Cruise Sales environment.
  • Ability to use a web based reservations tool would be an advantage
  • Good team-working skills
  • Displays initiative, and welcomes additional responsibility in order to successfully complete a task
  • Take ownership for understanding the current marketing campaigns, so maximising sales opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
