Travel Co-ordinator - Travel Team

Overview of Department

The Travel Team provides centralised travel booking, support and assistance services to the firm’s travellers.

Purpose of Role

To ensure we provide a high quality and efficient service to all travellers which focuses on the traveller’s safety, comfort, convenience with a particular emphasis on business effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  •  Liaise with travellers on an individual basis with regards to travel requirements
  •  Use our on-line booking system (KDS) to book domestic air, rail, hotel and car hire as appropriate
  •  Liaise with travel agents on more complex overseas trips
  •  Ensure travellers have the correct travel and visa/entry documents and are aware of any medical/safety requirements
  •  Provide a proactive service to deal with any travel disruptions including monitoring and resolving any travel issues
  •  Keep up-to-date with what is happening in the travel industry in relation to changes in regulations/products and services
  •  Provide a consistent and high level of customer service to all travellers
  •  Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  •  Work proactively with all internal teams and departments

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Key Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

Essential:

  • Previous experience of working in a travel environment

Desirable:

  •  Experience of working in corporate/business travel sector
  •  Global Distribution System (GDS) knowledge
  •  Previous experience of working with the KDS online booking tool
