To £35,000 + Bonus + Benefits

An opportunity to join the expanding commercial team of an award winning travel business. As a Destination Manager you will be responsible for the management of a core buying strategy for a given region. Sourcing and purchasing of all ground products and services at market leading rates in accordance with health and safety and operational requirements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop an in depth knowledge of the product range and ensure to take every opportunity to grow in-house sales and margins
  • Monitoring rate of sale to assess product performance
  • Securing Exclusive Value Adds
  • Focusing on and minimising cost of sale for all direct areas of responsibility
  • Input into tactical pricing strategies to drive sales and/or margin
  • Price management of product within in-house booking system to deliver volume while maximising return
  • Working with the Relationship Manager for DMC and Third Parties to ensure the right product is being sourced to close gaps
  • Ensure quality assurance of product to agreed criteria and build relationships to enhance brands awareness and standards in resort
  • Ensure that all contracts are 100% accurate, loaded on CMS at all times and are delivered to agreed timescales. Ensure an in depth knowledge of the CMS system
  • Destination market analysis and trends

  • Travel knowledge and experience in a similar role is essential

  • Experience of working within a highly motivated, fast paced and sales driven environment
  • You should have excellent time management skills and be able to deliver quality work to agreed deadlines
  • Your ability to use initiative and work with the minimum of supervision, maintaining clear focus under pressure is a must
  • The ability to multi-task whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail
  • You should have good relationship skills and the ability to engage well with the team and key partners
