Are you a Travel Consultant / Travel Agent that would like to move away from heavy sales targets? Do you have a passion and interest in sports, in particular cricket, rugby, hockey or netball? Do you prefer standard working office hours (9am - 17:30) instead of working late shifts? I am currently seeking a Travel Operations/Administration Executive with proven travel industry experience and strong organisational skills. My client is a specialist tour operator based in Essex, which offers group tours worldwide for sports people and sports fans. This would be the ideal role for an experience travel consultant with a strong interest for sports.

*Managing all aspects of organising tours
*Taking bookings, payments and providing quotes
*Preparing and dispatching letters of confirmation, invoices and receipts
*Organising payments to suppliers
*Making all necessary bookings with airlines, hotels, transport companies etc.
*Ongoing liaison with all relevant parties involved in delivering tours including airlines, ground transportation companies, hotels, ground tour operators, tourist authorities
*Negotiating rates with suppliers where appropriate
*Attendance at trade Shows to promote company tours and services
*Attendance at client meetings where necessary
*Constructing and organising detailed tour itineraries

*Must be a car owner
*Ideally you will come from a travel operations, sales support or administration background
* Passion and interest in sports, in particular cricket, rugby, hockey or netball
*It is essential to the success of this role that the individual is organised, highly energetic and capable of managing a very busy and diverse set of responsibilities.
*The role requires an individual with a range of skills in administration, planning, marketing and communication.
*The chosen individual will need strong communication skills, able to liaise appropriately with a broad range of people, including suppliers, clients and officials, face to face, by telephone and in writing
*A good understanding of a European language would be preferably but not essential


Starting salary of £18k - £20k DOE + bonus and incentives
