The role is working for one of the leading tour operators and travel providers in the UK. With agreements on the world’s leading airlines and cruise lines they offer competitive prices and can provide flights, hotel only, worldwide package holidays, cruises, tailor made tours and a perfect solution to any travel enquiry.

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Air Product Manager, the purpose of this job in travel is to manage the airline relationships and negotiate profitable commercial terms with airline partners. Working closely with the General Manager and Managing Director you will take ownerships of the air buying arena to ensure terms are negotiated and override targets are being achieved. This is a commercial and sales focused role, where in this Air Product Manager you will be assessing the sales and profit from each seat, making necessary adjustments on price accordingly. In addition to this, as part of the commercial agreements, there will also be a marketing spend which the Air Product Manager will oversee and make recommendations on where and how it’s spent.

Not only will this Air Product Manager travel job be managing the airlines partnerships, they’ll also be tasked with the distribution, so managing GDS relationships.

The ideal candidate will be someone that understands air buying and can manage commercial negotiations. You may currently be working in a similar role for an online travel business or a tour operator, or even on the flip side, working for an airline managing tour operator relationships.

Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role is required. Homeworking may be available and will be assessed on a case by case basis, minimum 2 days in the office.
