Business Development Specialist - Cruise - Southampton

This renowned Global Cruise Business are looking for a Business Development Specialist to drive sales across a number of key accounts. This is an instrumental role to the business and provides a great variety of tasks and responsibilities and would really suit someone looking for the next step in their sales career.

Business Development Specialist - Features :

  • You will be working in a small team looking after a large number of key accounts of varying sizes across the country helping to intensify business activities
  • You will be promoting the business to the agents ensuring they are up to date with current initiatives, tools, promotions and offers
  • You will work with travel agents to grow their revenue by providing customized marketing collateral
  • You will spend over a third of your day making outbound calls to your agency portfolio continually sourcing new revenue opportunities
  • You will be attending events and be out of the office meeting agents several times a month
  • Office based 4 days a week

Business Development Specialist - Skills Required:

  • Ideally you will be form cruise sales background with a good knowledge of the industry but more importantly you must have a pro-active, conscientious attitude with some experience of working in the travel industry in sales - selling to agents or tour operators
  • Ideally you will be a graduate in sales / marketing, economics or business administration
  • You will have outstanding communication and presentation skills
