Join us as a Retail Sales Manager in our standalone V-Room store and you’ll drive your team to deliver ambitious sales and service targets whilst helping our customers to once-in-a-lifetime experiences from luxury Caribbean beaches to African Safaris. On a day to day basis your manage and develop the sales and service team in order to maintain and grow profit from new business sales. As a Retail Sales Manager you’ll come up with innovative ways to market our brand, bringing people into your store with creative marketing ideas and attention-grabbing events. It will be your responsibility to develop your team, so they can deliver in-depth product knowledge and constantly surprise and delight our customers. You will be driven to meet and exceed sales targets and will take a proactive approach to identifying training needs for all Sales Consultants within your store.
Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to the following :- Manage and develop the existing and potential customer base Set and monitor team targets Manage underperformance in line with company policy
- Develop employees to enable them to maximise their full potential
- Maximise margin per booking by driving down cost and increasing ancillary sales at every opportunity
- Monitor local market and competitor activity and prepare SWOT analysis and relevant plans Communicate tactical offers and trading priorities to team Work with marketing to support local marketing opportunities e.g. Attending wedding fairs Deal with escalated customer complaints Recruit, coach and develop a world class sales team Log and monitor employee absence Manage the team in line in line with company policy Complete monthly 121’s with all team members Complete annual performance reviews with all team members and set performance development plans Ensure service delivery levels exceed customer expectations and improved company Net Promotor scores Complete robust checks to ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and guidelines. Raise and manage issues where identified Maintain Health and Safety standards of store, escalating relevant issues Ensure data protection and cash handling procedures are adhered to along with managing
To join us, you’ll need to have proven experience of managing a target-driven sales team alongside working in a retail environment as a Manager or Team Leader. You’ll need to show us your experience of meeting targets, inspiring teams and driving new business initiatives alongside strong commercial acumen and analytical skills - a marketing guru, entrepreneur and people manager all rolled into one.We are looking for our managers to have a natural flair for managing multiple tasks in a demanding environment alongside being able to flex with the needs of the business and shift priorities to suit the workload. All successful applicants will need to commit to undertaking our fantastic four week full time training course. This will include travelling to our Head Office in Crawley for 2 weeks where a selection of our training will take place.The perks
