The UN declared 2017 as the “Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development”, with the UNWTO promoting tourism’s role in such areas as social inclusiveness, cultural values, diversity and heritage. How would you like to develop new products that support these tenets? Are you a spirited individual with a strong interest in contributing to a concept that maximises travellers’ socio-cultural contribution? If you understand the commercial realities of product development, are able to take a concept through to go-to-market, with the cultural awareness to positively influence internal and external stakeholders across continents, this could be the role for you.

My client, a tour operator with a rich heritage in tourism and one of the largest worldwide, is seeking a New Product Development Manager. The product will encompass cultural/academic tourism with an emphasis on CSR (corporate social responsibility) and charitable ventures. You would: Cover the entire product development; have R&D, product planning and commercial responsibility; acquire suppliers; develop the go-to-market roadmap and manage the milestones; direct internal processes with multiple internal departments, influencing both internal and external stakeholders.

If your next career move should help bring back the essence of what drew you to travel in the first place, you know what to do …

If in the meantime, you would like more information about the position or are just curious, call Norma Hunter on 0207 357 6614.

Due to the high amount of interest that we receive for each of our roles, we unfortunately cannot respond to each application individually. Therefore, only successful applicants will be contacted.
