A brand new hotel bar is opening and they are seeking an experienced bar manger to run and effectively manage the team on their new venture.

A friendly pub nestled in the Art Deco ground floor of the Hotel. Retaining the hotel's original 1920's features with a modern and elegant twist. Providing a welcoming haven to guests, locals and visitors to the area; the pub serves classic cocktails alongside traditional pub favourites in a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.

* Oversee the service of food and beverages and maintain overall responsibility for beverage service throughout the bar.
* Ensure cash procedures are adhered to and strictly monitored, including preparation and calculation of beverage bills and cashing up of tills.
* Take responsibility for stock, including ordering, maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, and return of any sub-standard items.
* Report and liaise regularly with the Head of Bar Operations and Directors regarding departmental performance and ensure they are informed of any relevant information or issues.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
* Liaise with human resources department with regards to recruitment needs, training analysis and delivery and employee relations.
* Provide high quality people and performance administration for the bar for a broad range of duties, including (but not limited to) rota management, payroll, holiday approval, sickness absence, recruitment & selection, training & development, performance management (formal & informal), conflict resolution etc. as required.
* Receive and respond to all customer feedback and complaints.
* Deal with licensing authorities and any other official bodies when required
* Implement and ensure the Company Health, Hygiene & Safety Policy is met at all times
* Comply with & implement all legislative and licensing requirements.
* Ensure the departments are clean and hygienic, making sure cleaning rotas are adhered to and appropriate records kept.
* To ensure good cellar management included, but not limited to, beer-line cleaning, safe gas and barrel storage, stock rotation, quality and wastage control
* Ensure employee conduct, uniform and personal hygiene requirements are adhered to.
* Ensure the bars run smoothly on a daily basis & are adequately stocked with all necessary goods.
* Produce effective rotas to ensure staffing levels are appropriate and efficient
* Report and where possible take action in any incidents of complaint, accident, fire, loss or damage

* Bar Manager Experience is essential, 3+ year
* Administration, stock control, cellar management and staff management essential
* Hotel Bar experience strongly desired
* Flexible and able to adapt to a varying shift pattern

In return the successful candidate can expect a salary up to £27,000 on a full time basis along with excellent benefits and opportunities for personal and professional development. Live in opportunity is also available.
