China Marketing Innovation Specialist - eBusiness - Bangkok

Do you have the mind of an engineer and the soul of a marketing person? Are you naturally interested in the details of how online marketing works? Do you know how to reach Chinese customers on platforms like Baidu and WeChat? Then we've got a position for you.

As China Marketing Innovation Specialist you will have the responsibility to research and develop our client's marketing strategies at a deep technical level. That includes the adoption of new functionalities released by the search engines and social media and improvements in current practices. All that in a working environment with plenty of smart, young, and ambitious people. You will work closely with the Operations, Modelling, and Product teams to convert new best practices into products and processes. You'll have the data, technology and human resources needed to implement cutting-edge research and see the immediate impact of your innovative ideas as they are rolled out in scale.

  • Spearhead new China marketing practices and technologies
  • Lead the relationship with the search engines and social media to explore new opportunities and coordinate experiments
  • Work with Operations and Product teams to define new products or product improvements
  • Present research and propose strategic directions to management
  • Very good inductive, deductive and numerical reasoning
  • Rigorously apply scientific reasoning to marketing problems
  • Demonstrate proactive and solutions-oriented approach towards business problems
  • Aim for simplicity when designing solutions

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management, across different organisations
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in quantitative discipline
  • Fluent in Mandarin
  • Experience with statistical modelling
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and databases
  • Programming experience in R, Python, VBA a plus
  • Academic research experience a plus
