Localisation Team Leader, Global eTravel - Relocate Budapest

Our client is looking for a talented and vibrant Localisation Team Leader to support their international Foreign Language Team in providing a great language experience for customers worldwide.

About You:

  • You're a natural leader who can effectively manage deadlines
  • You love to get the best out of your team, are a brilliant problem solver & highly analytical
  • You're an excellent communicator, both verbally and written
  • You're a bit of a whizz kid when it comes to new technologies

Your Experience:

  • You have solid experience in people management
  • You possess 2+ years' experience in managing localisation projects on agency or client side
  • You have experience in online marketing, SEO and PPC knowledge is a plus
  • Confident usage of Excel, experience with CAT tools, CMS
  • You must hold a Bachelor or equivalent degree

About the role:

You'll manage a team of language specialists to develop great localisation content for the company's various products.

  • Coordinate localisation efforts across multiple products and languages
  • Support team with information on product updates, context for translation tasks
  • Act as a localisation contact point for cross-department stakeholders
  • Define metrics and KPIs, establish targets for the team to work towards
  • Monitor deadlines, team and personal performance
  • Support team on recruiting, managing and supervising freelance translators
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure quality expectations are met for both product and content translations
  • Run experiments to improve product translations, capture, measure and troubleshoot experiment results
  • Provide localisation ideas and add a linguistic perspective to development
  • Collect and route bugs, find scalable solutions across all languages
  • Hire linguists and develop team to improve translations throughput and quality
  • Lead regular team meetings and one-on-ones
  • Provide management with high quality reporting and localisation updates
  • Ad-hoc operational, marketing & research duties
