We’re recruiting for a fantastic Conference & Events Team Leader role within a fast-growing Event Management company in Bradford. Handling the day to day management of a Venue Sourcing team, working on a key account, this brand new role involves liaising with clients and suppliers and ensuring your team offer a professional and efficient service at all stages of the event booking process. The successful candidate will have previous experience of venue sourcing and booking corporate meetings and events coupled with supervisory experience and the ability to lead your team to success. You’ll also have strong organisational and interpersonal skills and in return, our client are offering an attractive package including a competitive starting salary and excellent benefits.

Role of Conference and Events Team Leader:

  • Ensure the efficient running of the venue sourcing team, making sure all procedures and processes are adhered to
  • Line managing the team, including monthly 1 to 1s, training and KPI reviews
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and suppliers, managing strong relationships
  • Preparing creative and innovative proposals
  • Negotiating with suppliers and managing venue and client contracts and payments

Skills required for the role:

  • Previous experience with sourcing, planning and booking corporate meetings and events
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Creative and innovative with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work using own initiative, self-managing and making decisions where necessary
