Travel Sales Team Leader

Bedfordshire

£26K + Comm OTE £36K +

My client is a leading expanding travel company.

They now require an experienced travel Sales Team Leader to lead and motivate their expanding team in order to meet and exceed targets.

The role involves ensuring the sales team meet set KPI’s, service levels and sales targets are continuously met and that customer needs are met effectively with the aim of increasing productivity.

The Travel Sales Team Leader is responsible for leading the day-to-day sales operations of the sales consultants based in Bedfordshire.

Candidates must have experience team leader/supervisory/management experience in leading and coaching teams within a travel targeted sales environment.

Travel Sales Team Leader Responsibilities:

Develop the day to day function of the cruise sales team, so that they realise their full potential and contribute to maximum productivity ensuring all sales conversions are maintained at a high level.

Ensure all goals and objectives set are communicated to the team and achieved.

Monitor and report upon performance within the team to the Sales Manager and highlight any possible areas of concern with suggested solutions.

Monitor and provide performance feedback to team members on both a weekly and monthly basis using statistics from the in house system

Create and implement incentives that motivate performance and positively impact morale.

Identify and initiate training/coaching in liaison with the Sales Manager and put together a performance improvement plan as needed.

Monitor commission per booking rates for each team member in order to maintain a high Department average

Develop destination knowledge and encourage the team to convert a variety of destinations

Conduct performance appraisals

Achieve departmental objectives relating to productivity, sales performance, product knowledge and attendance.

Travel Sales Team Leader remuneration package:

Basic salary of £26,000, OTE £36,000

Uncapped monthly Bonuses based on team performance

Starting holidays 20 days + bank holidays increasing by 1 day every year

Travel Sales Team Leader Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements:

Prior supervisory/team leader/management experience preferably within the travel industry

Ability to motivate team members and create team environment

Good working knowledge and experience of working with Cruise is an advantage.
