Accounts Payable Manager, London, Salary to £40k plus great benefits
This sports travel tour operator is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join them in their dynamic fats moving environment. The successful candidate will be someone that is an excellent communicator, is able to learn quickly and has a proven track record of leading a team. You will play a significant role in the day-to-day operation, leading a small team of assistants in the management of a large supplier portfolio. Whilst tasked with reviewing current efficiencies and procedures, this is a hands-on role which requires the need to lead by example. They offer a competitive salary to £40k with great benefits.

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:
Manage and motivate a team of Accounts Payable Assistants processing large invoice volumes
Generate weekly payment runs across multiple currencies, identifying payment priorities against available cash flow
Become the main source of contact for suppliers and venues, as well as other departments within the company
Resolve supplier queries and manage expectations during busy periods
Induct, train and continually develop new starters to the department, providing direction and guidance
Review current processes and procedures and identify any areas for improvement
Carry out staff reviews and appraisals
Install a working environment that encourages creative input and ideas for the benefit of the company

Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:
At least two years in a similar capacity, working as an Accounts Payable Manager in a high invoice volume business
Experience of Accounting Software essential
Advanced Excel skills
Experience dealing with a multi-currency supplier ledger
Travel industry experience
Excellent level of attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work under pressure/manage a heavy workload
Highly organised, with experience in working to multiple deadlines
Keen to continue their own development and training
Quick/fast thinker and learner
Ability to develop a rapport with external and internal stakeholders
