This well-established, PE backed niche tour operator is looking to appoint a highly action orientated GM with a strong focus on delivery to drive the growth of one of its brand. This is a rebrand of two businesses that have been acquired. The role will sit alongside the MD and FD as one of the senior trio leading the business. The plan is to grow this brand and this growth will be driven both organically from existing product lines, as well as through the development of new products, and potentially via acquisitions. The business has an excellent reputation and an impressive customer base. There is however huge scope for significant growth through partnerships marketing, new product development and improvement of commercials with suppliers. In addition, you will be expected to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of each department, looking at overall cost and productivity of operations. We are looking for a visionary, yet hands on leader; somebody who has gravitas and the ability to get people to believe in your vision and then motivate them to help you deliver it. We can only consider candidates who have delivered this sort of growth recently and it must be in a similar PE backed environment in the UK. There is full ownership of this brand’s P&L. We need an entrepreneurial mind-set: you MUST be a doer not a theorizer! Also not a 9-5 person - you are ready to live, eat and breathe the business.
