Are you an experienced Sales Manager? My client, a Specialist online Tour Operator are seeking a Sales Manager to managing their reservations team within a call center environment. The Sales Manager must have solid experience of managing a successful travel sales team and a passion for long haul travel. It is essential the successful candidate has experience of managing and leading a team within the travel industry, along with a proven and consistent track record of excellent sales and customer service.

DUTIES:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales team, you must have the ability to inspire, motivate, engage and develop a team. A positive and results-driven individual, you will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high workload. You will be a clear and confident communicator who is resilient to pressure and have excellent customer service and problem solving skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
*On a daily basis you will be striving to ensure the department achieve their sales targets.
*Coordinating the day to day running of the sales department
*Ensuring the sales department is in the best position to achieve sales targets
*Working with other department heads to ensure the goals of the business are met.
*Striving to maximise sales performance
*Ensuring sales targets are met and analyse data to identify sales opportunities
*Monitoring the performance of sales staff
*Providing data on staff and sales performance
*Plan and direct sales team training
*Monitor the achievement of sales objectives by the sales team
*Being the first point of contact for product related information (flight & accommodation)
*Monitoring and feeding back to staff on quality of telephone and email communication
*Coordinating the training of all new and current sales staff
*Ensuring the sales process is efficient as possible
*Engaging with other department to improve the level of service provided to customers
*Representing the Sales Department in Managers meetings

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
*Excellent management and communication skills
*Previous experience of working in an Sales Department
*Previous Managerial/Supervisor experience
*Relevant product and industry knowledge
*Knowledge of a GDS is desirable
*Proven experience in customer relationship management
*Ability to be proactive in improving the work of the department
*Able to work on own initiative and take ownership for completing tasks
*Professional attitude
*Problem analysis and problem-solving

SALARY:
The successful candidate can expect a fantastic basic salary of £30k - £35k, according to experience plus fantastic performance related bonuses.
