A Great opportunity for an experienced TRAVEL Accountant to join our client a friendly Business travel environment as a Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant Duties include:

  • Produce month-end management accounts for the company
  • Produce other ad-hoc weekly/monthly financial reports as required
  • Develop efficient month-end processes and system improvements
  • Balance sheet reconciliations for TB review
  • Reconciliation between booking engine and Oracle
  • Performance review and P&L variance analysis
  • VAT returns (working to TOMS guidelines)
  • Travel Industry ATOL and ABTA returns
  • Weekly rolling cash flow forecast
  • KPI / Statistic reporting
  • Financial Modelling for reporting to the CAA
  • Assist in annual licensing renewals
  • Assist in ATOL, ABTA and IATA insurance bonding renewals
  • Assist with preparation of audited financial statements and annual audit process

Financial Accountant Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of working within the Travel industry ONLY
  • Self-motivated and focused with the ability to work unsupervised and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong systems/processes background with excellent Excel skills
  • Oracle experience preferable
  • FX exposure preferable
  • CIMA or ACCA Qualified
