This very successful incoming travel company specialising in group travel to the UK from Europe is seeking an experienced French-speaking team leader to supervise the French group operations team.

Team Leader - Group Operations

Key skills required:

*Fluency in English and French is essential and a third language would be advantageous
*A minimum of three years' experience in an inbound operator in a groups role.
*Excellent knowledge of the UK as a destination
*Ability to research events, incentive, conference market
*Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
*Proven experience of preparing quotes and operating groups.
*Ability to manage people
*Ability to build relationships

Summary of Role:

*To produce competitive quotes for your clients.
*To build relationships and maintain a great working relationship with your clients.
*To build relationships with all suppliers and ensure that you have excellent knowledge of any services that are offered.
*To assume all responsibility for your clients pending and confirmed groups.
*To assume responsibility for the members of your team and ensure that they are meeting and exceeding targets.
*To assist with setting targets for your team
*To run regular reports and update your staff accordingly
*To ensure your team are punctual
*To bring out the best in your team members and ensure they are working to the best of their ability
*To be a role model for your team to look up to
*Ensure that tourplan is being using correctly and that your team members know the benefits and correct way of using the system
*To work with the sales team and ensure that special offers go out regularly at the correct times
*To assist in the recruiting process for your team.

General breakdown of role:

*To acknowledge and qualify (via phone) all new requests
*To make sure that all offers are sent out in our standard format and are all entered into tourplan and that any amendments etc are all tracked in tourplan as well
*To ensure that your offer reflects what the client wants without compromising on quality and price.
*To update the enquiry log on a daily basis with all the correct information in order for yourself and management to have an overview.
*To ensure that all offers are followed up immediately and then within one week of sending and then after that as per option date given.
*To organise and participate in any client famtrips that need to take place in order to win or facilitate a booking.
*To maintain good relationships with all clients and ensure that any promises/deadlines that are made to them are kept.
*To keep abreast of who our competitors are, who they work with both clients and suppliers and what they are offering
*To build relationships with suppliers and ensure that your product knowledge is kept up to date at all times.
*To buy under budget(without compromising on quality) where possible in order to increase the margin.
*To send invoices on time to clients and ensure that all payments are made within time guidelines.
*To liaise with accounts on all supplier payments and ensure that they are paid in advance of group arrival if this is what has been agreed.
*To never let a group travel without payment.
*To ensure all your files are kept in a organised manner that enables others to cover for you if the need arises
*To deal with complaints as and when they arise in a professional manner
*To take your turn in the emergency phone rota
