We are looking for a diligent professional with an eye for detail to support our Product Short Haul Team on a 9-month FTC (extension possible)! The key purpose of this role is to have a thorough understanding of how short haul tours are operated in order to ensure their smooth and efficient management; to provide "hands on" assistance in all aspects of the team and to be a main point of contact for lo-cost airline queries.

The role involves cross team communication with Product/Operations, SCS and Customer Relations as well as professional contact with Airlines and tour managers, therefore excellent internal and external customer service must be provided and you must be an excellent communicator who can build up a rapport quickly.

We employ over 200 people, the majority of whom are based at our Wallington, South London office.

Working closely with the Short Haul Product Team your key accountabilities will include:

  • Quality checking all lo-cost flight bookings for our short haul holidays
  • Booking lo-cost flight seats
  • Overseeing all APIS requirements for lo-cost carriers
  • Ensuring all processes are completed accurately and within the specified timetables
  • Booking flights according to instructions and budget given
  • Close liaison with the Product team(s) to ensure smooth operation of tours
  • Reporting of any issue(s) and working on any issue as they arise assisting in their resolution
  • Building a strong rapport with all necessary internal teams, suppliers and tour managers
  • Any other ad hoc duties as directed to assist the Short Haul team

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have a good understanding/working knowledge of air operating procedures involved with group tours
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Take accountability - i.e. be able to take ownership of the task and see it through to conclusion
  • Have experience working and buying within budget constraints
  • Be a team player who can build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Be organised and methodical, a natural problem-solver, with an analytical, proactive mind and excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work under own initiative and within tight deadlines
  • Be flexible with a commitment to quality
  • Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing
