Specialist Airfares manager - Required for this expanding TMC based in central London. They are looking for an airfares manager from another TMC with strong air maximising experience and will pay between £35,000 to £45,000 + great comm and benefits.

Specialist airfares managers duties
-Promoting net fare take-up within operations offering advice on switch selling techniques and creative ticketing.
-Sharing responsibility with the rest of the team assisting staff with complex re-issues and ticketing, Thus providing the company with additional revenue, and a dedicated source of information.
-Sharing responsibility with the rest of the team in terms of queue management and prioritising the workload. Show excellent time management skills and work effectively as a team player.
-Sharing responsibility with the rest of the team to help and advise Operations on all airline related questions, such as branded fares, upgrades, seating etc.
-Responsible for administering the company net fare bonus scheme and preparing monthly bonus payments schedule.
-Sharing responsibility with the rest of the team to complete fare checks on all long-haul bookings and all European bookings of 3 or more sectors. (This excludes client specific contracts.) Where possible switch selling to company preferred suppliers.
-Working with the Key Account Managers to sell/promote creative ticketing/net fare saving opportunities as well as providing general fares analysis reports, as required.
-Working efficiently & effectively with the Accounts Department in dealing with and raising refunds and dealing with relevant ADMs and taking responsibility for this task in the absence of other team members.

Specialist airfares managers skills required
-Expert user of a GDS, preferably Sabre
-Expert knowledge of fares, reissues and refunds
-Basic operational knowledge of BSP
-Fully conversant in Excel to track activity and create monthly reports
-Experience in a Fares Team
-Excellent attention to detail - both for input and spotting errors in airline fare loading and opportunities
