DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing TMC, looking to add a Business Travel Consultant to join their busy Edinburgh team with a fantastic in-house training scheme. Applicants should be confident using GDS. Working in this Edinburgh based team, you will manage various accounts, delivering the highest standard of quality & value to their customers.
Key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Be responsible for handling incoming requests, via calls, emails, faxes or online requests, for enquiries related to travel.
- Deal with air, accommodation and rail requests.
- Directly liaise with the client, in terms of their needs and also on their behalf, in relation to their airline, rail and accommodation enquiries & bookings.
- Process emails promptly and efficiently.
- Liaise with suppliers, regularly.
- Ensure all changed & cancelled travel / hotel / venue arrangements are re-issued, cancelled and refunded.
- Use GDS daily.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
You will have ideally gained previous experience within a similar Business Travel role and held responsibility for managing bookings and client requirements. You will be a confident user of CRS (Amadeus, Galileo, Amadeus).
We are looking for somebody with excellent communication skills, who has a passion for understanding client requirements and providing clients with the right solution and the highest standard of customer service.
