Award winning and fast growing business travel company are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to help continue their growth. As Business Development Manager for new business sales you will identify, qualify and close profitable business spending between a vast amount on travel. The successful Business Development Manager will be working as part of the sales team and you will exceed the agreed team target, presenting and selling our solution and be responsible for major bids within the assigned accounts/territory. This is a field based position with the expectation that you will be with potential clients 3 to 4 days per week, strongly supported by an internal team and a bid management team.

KEY DUTIES:
* Meet or exceed the agreed sales target
* Deliver agreed conversion rate
* Deliver/present the companies proposition, by creating your own presentations and materials
* Create own leads and phone warm leads to book meetings where required
* Contribute to the Bids process and write bids on occasions
* Keep in contact with and maintain a close relationship with key contacts
* Represent the company in pitches with potential customers on business travel within the private; public and third sector
* Be out in the field 3-4 days a week with the other 1-2 days based in their central Birmingham office

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* A natural rapport with people and confidence to meet and present to prospects
* Experience of selling in a B2B services or technology business
* A passion for Travel
* A desire and willingness to meet with prospects
* Adaptable and results oriented - puts top priority on getting results
* First class record keeping
* Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally
* Ability to write first drafts of compelling proposals and presentations
* Able to build effective relationships with colleagues, customers and external partners
* Ability and willingness to proactively accept and drive change to accomplish positive outcomes
* Ability to confidently present to senior decision makers in large corporates
* A team player able to work with other sales team members
* Experience with Salesforce.com would be a bonus
