BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE SALES
FIELD BASED - MIDLANDS TO MANCHESTER AREA
EXCELLENT BASIC + CAR + COMMISSION

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager within the exhibition and conference industry? Are you looking for the next step in your career, and want to represent a world-renowned establishment? Than this could be just the role for you!

Role Requirements:
*Develop sales and marketing plan to attract new exhibitions and conferences to the venue
*Arrange and attend proactive sales and training appointments (about 6 per week) to prospect new business
*Attend networking events to hunt out new leads
*Work with the sales team to ensure the venues annual calendar is maximised to its full potential
*Present Bids and proposals to potential new clients
*Conduct educational / client site visits to the venue
*Reporting on weekly sales and activities
*Conduct and report on competitor analysis
*Attend relevant sector events and exhibitions throughout the year
*Any ad-hoc duties as required
Skills Required:
*In-depth understanding of exhibitions (trade and consumer)
*Previous experience in high value, high volume business development for large venues
*Experience in bid writing and proposals
*Experience negotiating event / exhibition contracts
*Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously in a field based environment
*Great relationship builder and skilled networker
