blue o two ltd is a scuba diving tour operator offering tailor-made active holidays in the Red Sea, Galapagos, Fiji, French Polynesia, Indonesia, Maldives, Mexico, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Thailand and Truk Lagoon.

The only UK based tour operator to operate and manage its own Red Sea and Maldives liveaboard fleet, due to our continued success we now require a full time Sales Manager to work within our friendly team. The Sales Manager will carry out marketing activities inclusive of (but not limited too):

  • Leading a team of Dive Travel Consultants with the aim of improving sales, margin (gross profit) and achieving sales targets set by the Directors
  • Receive and distribute all sales leads within the sales team
  • Develop opportunities with new agents both nationally and internationally
  • Monitor and record aspects of sales and margin, sometime by product and compile relevant reports for analysis
  • Working with other members of the management team to monitor enquiry numbers, source of enquiry, conversion number and compile meaningful data and results for analysis
  • Create and carry out competitor analyses
  • Determine the sales team structure to ensure support and accountability
  • Manage new Team Member Inductions and to identify and provide further training, as necessary
  • Work with senior managers to drive the strategy for sales
  • Represent the business and portray it in a positive light
  • Set targets for your team and ensure they are monitored regularly
  • Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews of Dive Travel Consultants
  • Promote an attitude of success, having a positive influence on all employees

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following experience and skillset:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work with excellent levels of accuracy and paying close attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask
  • Computer literate
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and written
  • Have / develop a comprehensive understanding of blue o two and the market we operate in
  • Have leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project planning and management capabilities
  • Have good judgement and decision making skills
  • Competence with numbers, calculations of margin (gross profit)
  • A thorough appreciation of the importance of sales and margin

    Desirable attributes:

  • Experience of the travel industry
  • Experience of scuba diving or other adventurous sport


Will be set annually, via the performance management / appraisal cycle and will be according to KPIs of the business; examples are sales targets, profit margins, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
