Role Summary

This role will be responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day management of tactical margin decisions relating to achieving revenue targets and improving overall profit for bedswithease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise revenue in line with targets and profit improvement plans
  • Manage a team of support staff, to ensure they perform at the highest standards to support the overall yield management of bedswithease
  • Set short, medium and long terms targets to maximise profit margins
  • Develop and monitor reports to manage performance across all channels
  • Manage performance versus budget and forecast ensuring all concerns and opportunities are escalated as soon as they arise
  • Develop and manage promotional calendar including offer proposals, execution and reporting
  • Manage third party relationships to develop performance, insight and new opportunities
  • Develop profiling strategy to minimise gaps and maximise revenue opportunity
  • Work with buying and marketing teams on direction and execution of sales and marketing campaigns
  • Develop departmental processes to help irradiate unnecessary tasks and improve productivity
  • Liaise with the online team to ensure key offers are being promoted
  • Engage in weekly sales and revenue meeting, sharing insight and recommendations for driving revenue in forthcoming weeks
  • Prepare reports for monthly board meeting, presenting overall position and forward plans
  • Benchmark and record our product/price versus competitor in order set long term strategy
  • Maintain strong product knowledge, including website content to maximise performance
  • Control of budgets and P&L whilst maintaining focus on the company-wide goals
  • Representing the Company at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
  • Attending manager’s meeting and any other relevant meetings
  • To be involved with any other ad-hoc projects as may be required from time to time
  • The role will require regular travel to the Company’s offices in Frimley, Luton and Newcastle along with travel to various locations throughout the UK and overseas
  • Ensure there is always excellent departmental and cross departmental communication and teamwork to deliver best practices for the whole business

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • High commercial awareness and substantial knowledge of revenue management
  • Experience in driving sales revenue, profit and business volume along with a demonstrable track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Exceptional relationship management expertise, with excellent contacts and the ability to build strong and effective relationships with a wide range of people across all levels
  • Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and prioritise workload
  • Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills, at all levels
  • Proven record of people leadership, management and development of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver profitable growth
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced target orientated environment
  • Significant knowledge and market trading experience in the travel industry, in order to predict market trends and identify new business opportunities
  • Ability for fulfil the mobility clause of this contract
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage a budget
