Overnight Travel Operations Consultant

Salary up to £20,000

Full Time, Permanent position

An exciting opportunity is available working for an established and award winning travel company who are looking for an Overnight Travel Operations Consultant to work within the Operations Team and liaise with customers and suppliers overseas, resolving issues efficiently and calmly.

You will be required to work on a rota basis of four consecutive nights of 12 hours each, with the following four nights off. Each shift period will operate from 1900 hrs to 0700 hrs, and will include Saturday and Sunday nights, and public holidays.

Excellent benefits include an annual leave of 29 days and full training will be provided for a minimum period of 6 weeks between 0900 - 1730 Monday to Friday.

During every shift period, there will be a nominated Operations team member available for remote support and advice.

Responsibilities:

  • To be the first point of contact for travel clients and suppliers outside of office hours
  • Amending bookings and answering queries for customers travelling within 24 hours
  • Processing last minute cancellations and assisting with transport queries
  • Responding to and resolving and issues whilst customers are on holiday and providing support for representatives of the travel company
  • General administration duties during the shift including logging and recording any issues
  • Supporting the Operations and Reservations teams including processing reports and brochure requests

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience within the travel industry will be highly preferred although not essential
  • Experience working with GDS Amadeus is desirable however training will be given
  • Ability to work on their own and under pressure
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to resolve and manage issues in a calm and professional manner
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads according to urgency
  • Excellent customer service skills

The office is commutable by public transport and Free Parking is available
