My client is looking for an experienced travel consultant who is looking for a part-time opportunity within the travel industry and who can provide a high level of excellent in this new position. You will be working for a leading travel agency in a new office in the Gloucestershire area. The lucky candidate will be joining a small team of Travel Consultants who together will be striving to assist the general manager with the day-to-day running of the store whilst hitting and exceeding targets and maintaining a high level of customer service. If you have previous experience working as a Travel Consultant and you want to join an expanding and successful travel company then this could be your ideal opportunity.

* Working Part-time 3 days a week plus some Saturdays
* To assist the General Manager with day to day running of the office
* Hitting and exceeding profit targets
* Maintaining a high level
* Respond to client enquires promptly whether by phone, email or face to face
* Create inspiring travel itineraries' in a friendly and professional manner
* Explore opportunities to "add value" to every holiday sale
* Ask for the sale with every client itinerary presented
* Deliver a full booking experience providing
* Completing all administration and documentation in a timely manner
* Contribute to company sales targets by achieving and exceeding personal KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
* Build and maintain extensive knowledge of products and services available to our clients
* Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly staff meetings
* Handle all customer service complaints quickly and effectively
* Build and strengthen relationships with key suppliers within the travel industry
* Uphold the company standards at all times

* Sound knowledge and experience of the retail travel industry
* Working knowledge of an industry standard GDS, preferably SABRE
* Innovation, enthusiasm, drive and ambition
* Excellent communication skills
* Diplomacy and tact
* Sound judgement with attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills
* Resilience to cope with long hours and pressure at peak times
* A genuine interest in travel
* Some weekend work required
* Occasional overseas travel will be required

My client offers an excellent package including a very competitive base salary in the region of £16-18k (THIS WILL BE PRO-RATED) with bonus earning opportunities, excellent benefits and holiday entitlement.
