This role supports our Sales Team and involves liaising with our partners as well as our own Sales, Marketing, E-Commerce and Sales & Customer Service (SCS) team's on a regular (daily) basis - therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must! Admin tasks include providing and supplying artwork, promotional material and reports to our many clients and ensuring promotional campaigns, schedules and deadlines are all met and delivered on time.  

We are the award-winning Newmarket Group; which is one of the UK's largest independently owned specialist tour operators; who look after tens of thousands of customers each year going to a wide range of destinations throughout the UK, across Europe and worldwide. We employ over 200 people, with the majority based at our modern Wallington, South London office.

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Providing administrative support for management, account managers and act as a point of contact for all Newmarket partnerships
  • Answering incoming calls from newspapers and travel agents and dealing with the matters arising  
  • Regular checking and reporting of regional & national press ads that are scheduled to appear in paper
  • Checking supplements, mailers and any marketing initiatives and campaigns, particularly in ensuring accuracy in the detail and final sign off
  • Undertaking weekly and monthly client booking updates and reports  
  • Liaising with and assisting our Marketing team in the production process campaign material  
  • Setting up new travel agents on Taurus/TigerBay for access to our website.
  • Providing sales copy and images as requested by those clients that produce their own artwork
  • Any other ad hoc duties as directed assisting Sales, Marketing, E-Commerce and SCS. Cross team duties in peak workload periods

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have Sales Support and/or Travel Industry experience
  • Be customer focused
  • Have excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills
  • Have a good command of English with excellent spelling and use of grammar
  • Provide excellent customer service and have a good telephone manner
  • Have excellent organisational skills with the flexibility to meet changing priorities as the need dictates
  • Be able to assimilate a number of tasks, adhere to strict deadlines and work methodically
  • Be able to work well under pressure 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and the Internet 
  • Must have good knowledge of Excel and Word to be able to understand the varied reporting formats
  • Be able to form and sustain excellent working relationships internally and externally at a variety of levels
  • Be a team player with excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Have the ability to work under your own initiative
  • Have a good standard of maths

The hours are 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday (9.00am-5.30pm) and based at our Head Office in Wallington, Sutton.
