Operations Executive
As an Operations Executive, you will be dealing with everything from confirmation documents, flight tickets, visas and final documentation. Accuracy and attention to detail plus ability to work calmly under pressure during busy periods is a key requirement. You will be part of a strong team dedicated to looking after everything once the booking has been made and providing the best customer service possible.
Key Responsibilities
*To provide fast and efficient responses to our clients, agents and suppliers by managing the Operations inbox on a daily basis.
*To answer phone calls from clients/agents to assist with any Operational or Visa queries
*Preparing all clients' tour itineraries and travel documents , ensuring all flight tickets are issued an sent to clients to meet the required deadlines
*Contacting passengers to advise of any tour itinerary changes or cancellations
*Quote upgrades, amendments and assist in prebooking seats and meal requirements in Amadeus
*Be responsible for processing any amendments and cancellations to existing holidays
*Sending rooming lists to local agents/ground handlers and assisting with any queries they may have
*Requesting additional information for clients in order to book chauffeur transfers
*Be able to assist with urgent or emergency situations either before travel or whilst clients are in resort.
*Taking payments over the phone for direct client bookings
*To be able to assist with any unhappy or dissatisfied clients and try to resolve any problems to the best of your ability.
*Assist the visa team in busy periods and get involved with processing visas, dealing with general queries and sending visas back to clients.
*Monitor Foreign Office advice, local weather conditions and liaise with local suppliers to advise of any airline delays/cancellations which may impact touring.
Skills Required
*Previous experience working in the UK travel industry
*Working knowledge of Amadeus or GDS
*Highly customer focused
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to plan & prioritise effectively , well organised
*Strong inter personal skills
*Computer literate
*'Can do' attitude, proactive , takes initiative
*Keen to learn, enthusiastic and honest
The Package:
*A salary of £18,000 - £21,000 DOE
