Business Development Director
Business Development Director - West Coast - Specialist Cruise Company. A newly created and excellent opportunity for an experienced Travel Industry Sales professional to join a European, boutique cruise operator. You will be remotely based on the Western USA Coast (Los Angeles / California), responsible for leading a team of 6 across the USA and Canada.
Business Development Director Responsibilities
Reporting to the companies USA President, you will be responsible for a remote sales team of 6, creating and driving a sales strategy that will increase passengers from its existing 35,000 per annum to it's target of 65,000 per annum. In addition to setting and driving the teams KPI's, you will also be responsible for a given region, negotiating commercial agreements with travel trade partners, increasing brand awareness and representing the company at industry events.
Business Development Director Skills Required
- Experience selling to the Travel Trade, preferably in cruise but other travel industry supplier backgrounds will also be considered
- Track record of driving the performance of remotely based sales teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and ambitious sales professional
- Strong commercial acumen
Business Development Package
A basic salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum (depending on experience)m + up to 25% bonus
