Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the performance of all group websites organic search engine visibility
  • Manage relationships with external agencies that will support the SEO strategy
  • Agree performance targets and strategy to deliver effective SEO
  • Continually monitor, analyse, optimise and report on SEO performance
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of the SEO strategy including, on site techniques, link building/outreach, content marketing, online PR, technical SEO
  • Review and manage crawl errors, data mark up and XML site maps
  • Monitor and maintain backlink profile and take necessary action to prevent penalties from algorithm updates
  • Recruit, manage and develop an internal content team
  • Work with the social media and design teams to create effective outreach campaigns that can work across a number of platforms
  • Coordinate with the PPC team to ensure an effective keyword targeting and landing page structure
  • Advocate SEO throughout the business to keep our campaign messaging up to date with regular initiatives
  • Working closely with the marketing and product team, as well as any external agencies

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ demonstrable experience of SEO
  • Excellent analytical skills and usage of market leading tools in order to understand trends and performance
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics and Adwords
  • Good understanding of multi-channel tracking and attribution tools and methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all communication channels and at all levels
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and prioritise workload
  • Experience of dealing with external agencies, with exceptional relationship management expertise, alongside the ability to build strong and effective relationships with a wide range of people across all levels
  • Experience of planning and executing outreach campaigns and strategies
  • Proven track record demonstrating exceptional performance results
  • Strong technical ability, with the ability to work with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent understanding of all digital marketing initiatives with a desire to continually development new skills and knowledge
  • Previous management experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail
