Technical Learning and Development Specialist - London

Our client, a successful and growing Travel Management Company, is seeking the above to join their dynamic team.

You may be in a similar role or be a Senior Business Travel Consultant with solid GDS skills seeking the next step in your Business Travel career.

The company are looking for a technically minded individual to join their team to offer hands on support of our industry leading travel reservations system as well as deliver targeted classroom learning sessions to maximise system usage. If you have a proven track record with Sabre, possess a passion for learning as well as a natural ability to connect with people.

Technical Learning and Development Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephone and hands-on technical support to employees
  • Log the description and resolution of all support calls
  • Escalate incidents to 3rd party providers, as required, including Sabre GDS, airlines, hotels and other travel suppliers
  • Deliver classroom workshops, one to one coaching and technical self-directed e-learning
  • Deliver classroom and virtual induction sessions for new employees, including international offices
  • Identify bespoke system user learning requirements for existing employees
  • Deliver tailored learning sessions onsite at various locations

Technical Learning and Development Specialist skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in Business Travel, preferably as a consultant or in a Learning and Development function
  • Proven track record with Sabre is desirable
  • PC skills – MS Office packages.
  • Experience of trouble shooting technical issues
  • Ability to analyse and resolve challenges under pressure
  • Ability to motivate others to learn
  • Willing to embrace new challenges
  • Ability to listen and show patience
  • Maturity and confidence to communicate at all levels.
  • Comfortable with delivery in front of others
  • Willingness to travel to international offices as required
