Digital PR & Outreach Executive - Brighton Competitve salary


This international educational travel organisation specialises in arranging placements for healthcare students to Africa, Asia and Latin America. This is an exciting role working within an energetic and creative marketing team. We are looking for a confident individual with a passion for digital PR in order to secure quality coverage on high-profile and reputable websites. The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience in digital PR, and a proven track record of building and handling media relationships. We are looking for ambitious and motivated candidates with a drive to succeed. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to grow in the role and get hands-on with projects from day one.


Digital PR & Outreach Executive - Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct PR & outreach to bloggers, media outlets, journalists, editors and key influencers worldwide to secure high quality digital coverage
  • Be highly creative and excel at coming up with great ideas for PR campaigns for all their global markets
  • Assist with student interviews/reviews in order to leverage their stories for local PR, university PR and brand engagement
  • Devise and develop creative ideas that will gain exposure, high quality digital coverage, brand awareness and social shares
  • Build plans to focus on industry specific coverage
  • Regularly research and source influencers to create relationships and build media databases for all global markets, using tools like Vuelio
  • Build a network of relationships that can be used in link building and digital asset promotion strategies
  • Identify, initiate contact and engage with online communities
  • Support the Content Developer with website copy creation, providing fuel for digital PR campaigns
  • Brief designers with campaign concepts, ensuring high-quality delivery
  • To build, manage and deliver an annual PR strategy
  • Monitor, track, and report results of all campaigns
  • Work with key marketing team members & agencies to plan all creative campaigns
  • Work with their SEO consultant to implement backlink audits and competitor digital PR
  • Support with B2B and corporate PR
  • Support all internal communications


Digital PR & Outreach Executive - Skills required:

  • A minimum of 2 years digital PR experience
  • An interest in digital marketing with proven experience
  • An excellent understanding of outreach and creative link building strategies
  • Excellent at multitasking within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills both spoken and written English
  • Building of media databases using systems such as Vuelio
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • You will excel at coming up with and developing great ideas
  • Have awareness of current trends to spot tactical opportunities for content
  • Proven experience of influencer engagement and content promotion
  • Strong understanding of all digital promotion activities including influencer and consumer engagement, PR initiatives and brand mentions
  • Experience with influencer and content performance monitoring tools
  • Write Exposure Reports on links and placements acquired with tools like Google Analytics and BuzzSumo to track progress of campaigns for each market
  • Experience with brand mentions monitoring tools
  • An understanding of SEO best practices would be an advantage
