The Travelup Group have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Product & Commercial Manager, reporting into the head of land product you will be responsible for assisting in the sourcing, loading and maintaining direct contracts alongside helping to develop the land product for all the travel brands within this fast growing business. This varied role will involve working with all areas of the business to ensure we have a best in class land product.

Salary – Basic salary is up to £24k dependent on previous experience + Excellent Travel benefits

Working Hours – Full Time – Permanent role based in the Aldermaston head office, includes some occasional weekends and overseas travel

Key Responsibilities Include - Identifying and sourcing new hotels to directly contract for the Travel Up Group, working with key suppliers to secure tactical exclusive offers and marketing funds, communicate new hotels and offers to all Sales and the Marketing Team.  Developing product knowledge by participating in relevant FAM trips and undertaking visits when necessary.  Supporting sales teams in obtaining extra rooms from allocation or requests, attend trade shows in the UK and overseas, organising and delivering product training for the sales team to ensure they have good product and destination knowledge.  Securing FAM trips for the Company

Skills required – Travel industry experience in a Product or Commercial Department, good negotiations skills and be a creative thinker.  Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure is essential.  Good problem solving skills to resolve any issues with supply.  Excellent written and verbal communication along with a good telephone manner.  Excellent self-motivational and organisational skills.  Flexibility in approach to working tasks and business needs, with the ability to multi-task.  Good level of experience with Microsoft packages – e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook. Resilience to deal with complex queries in a fast paced environment
