Job Purpose

To manage the day-to-day running of the business and assist the Managing Director in promoting the ongoing growth of the company


Key Responsibilities

- To effectively manage three branch offices and the associated foreign exchange bureaux

- To deliver sales and foreign exchange transaction targets

- To maintain consistently high levels of customer satisfaction across all of the the branches

- To deliver quarterly and annual ATOL and ABTA returns and renewals of relevant licences

- To deal with HR issues and performance management

- To manage all relevant health and safety, facilities management, insurance, utilities and other administration functions

- To ensure effective key accounts management including business travel accounts

- To ensure and oversee company-wide legal compliance with legislation such as GDPR, Employment Law and Money Laundering Regulations


Key Accountabilities

- To produce and review the business plan with the Managing Director

- To produce and review the annual sales/foreign exchange transaction targets based on each employee

- To complete all branch staff reviews

- To lead each branch and administration management teams and run team meetings

- To produce and review the marketing plan including the use of the website and social media

Education and Knowledge

- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject

- Have a good working knowledge of the travel industry

- Possess good spoken and written skills in communication and correspondence

Leadership and Management Skills

 - Possess a high level of personal drive and integrity with a hard-working ethos

- Have the desire to lead the best retail travel agency in the region

- Possess strong interpersonal skills to provide purpose and direction to the work force and ensure effective engagement with staff, customers and suppliers

Experience

- 5 years relevant experience in the travel industry or associated fields
- 3 years management experience
- Significant customer service experience

Other

- Full, clean UK driving license
