Leisure Trade Sales and Marketing role for a well know brand - Visitor Attraction company. This role is 4 days a month based in central London, in Mayfair.

Job description:

Leisure Sales and Marketing Manager role is a part-time consultancy role to work to agreed performance and budget targets. Direct account to ensure targets are met and client/supplier relationships are kept strong. Strategic and lateral thinking on client business and active development of new suppliers

Reporting to:                                     Managing Director 

Professional & business skills

  • Overall management and responsibility for an the account to agreed annual fee budgets. Responsibility for meeting agreed monthly growth targets on this account (identifying growth areas for business within client organisation)
  • Maintain strong client relationships at a senior level – with regular contact. Attend monthly meetings, ensuring good relationships sustained across the client/agency team. Manage six-monthly client evaluation process, reporting back to Managing Director and ensuring smooth execution of agreed actions
  • Provision of advice on handling of issues/crisis situations pertinent to client business, in consultation with Director/MD. Handling of client / supplier queries on behalf of TaylormadePR 
  • Responsibility for solution of any problems arising in the course of account work and addressing with client/supplier concerned

Relationship building

  • Good knowledge of clients business and the wider industry,  good contacts within Leisure sales and (visitor attractions bonus) with ability to hold informed discussion with a supplier i.e: OTA, Wholesaler etc on client’s behalf if required

Management skills

  • Briefing and direction of on work required with TaylormadePR systems. Run fortnightly update meetings, keeping activity on schedule, as a self-starter and Can-Do approach

             Commercial skills

  • Management of client expectations. Sign off on targets for the year/specific projects
  • Separate monthly meetings with Director and MD to review client work, budget and time expenditure and team management issues on relevant accounts. Monitor where additional senior input may be required
  • In Leisure Sales and Marketing Manager capacity, signing off contact reports, monthly reports, activity schedules, target Sales and Marketing lists etc, ensuring to required standard. Maintain watching brief in all above areas, ensuring quality standards are maintained. Senior responsibility for handling any resulting issues with client, reporting back to MD
  • Continue to develop senior level Marketing contacts and work with account team in developing and placing tailored ideas.  Report back on ‘partnership’ activity to MD
  • Lead the account team in the preparation of annual client reviews / proposals for forthcoming year for sign off by Director/Managing Director. Lead/participate in presentation to the client
  • Prepare proposals from scratch, developing the strategy and directing the idea generation process. Documents to be prepared ready for sign off by MD
  • Driving role with responsibility for developing specific sectors. Management of research, full preparation of proposals for sign off by Director and presentation of pitches
  • Monitor general office expenditure, to support and maintain company profitability targets


  • Responsibility for achieving client targets, monthly reports, handling any resulting queries from the client, keeping budget summaries updated Personal skills
  • Confident, highly motivated and well-organised, capable of juggling several projects simultaneously without missing deadlines
  • Strategic and lateral thinker, with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Happy to be involved / get involved with projects even if they fall slightly outside existing responsibilities.
  • Good team player, managing team of people with awareness of their workloads
  • Responsibility for own personal development through monitoring of progress against appraisals and targets and evaluation of training against personal development.
  • Diplomatic, helpful, clear thinking, effective delegator
  • ‘Can do’ positive attitude, keen to broaden portfolio and experience. Street wise, demonstrating sound financial awareness
  • Good networking skills, with proven ability to market TaylormadePR both to Travel trade and prospective clients
  • An ambassador for TaylormadePR, embracing our mission and values


  • Minimum of seven years experience in Travel Trade, Marketing and Sales or related areas
  • Understanding the principles of business development including growth management, change management and business structures
  • Expertise in both operational and strategic consultancy
