IT SUPPORT
TRAVEL INDUSTRY, LONDON

Our client, an established London-based travel management company who have tripled in size over the past few years and who continue to grow are looking for an IT Support / Helpdesk Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an interesting and varied role which would suit a bright and enthusiastic person who is customer service orientated. It is essential you have excellent network and infrastructure knowledge to be considered for this role.

You will be providing IT support to all internal users and whilst a large proportion of this role is helpdesk focussed, you will continually be involved in various other IT projects.
Your main responsibilities will include:

* Being the first point of contact on the helpdesk providing 1st and 2nd line support
for in-house applications, windows systems and various other IT systems
* Providing support to remote offices
* Escalating issues to 3rd parties/suppliers when necessary
* Supporting the IT manager and team with larger projects
* Assisting with the planning and maintenance of the IT strategy
* Maintaining full software and hardware asset registers
* Installation and support of hardware and operational support of applications
* System Administration

To be considered for this IT Support / Helpdesk position in London, you'll have prior experience in desktop and server environments and will be proficient in Windows 10, 7, MS Office systems and various Windows Server versions (2k8, 2k12). You'll have sound knowledge of Antiviruses, malware detection and prevention and understand networking technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot Lan & Wan environments. You'll have experience in network security and concepts, SQL databases and services such as IIS, as well as a basic understanding of VOIP concepts and experience in telephony Mitel/Avaya, preferably within a call centric type of environment. This is customer facing position, therefore being an excellent communicator is crucial, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate superb organisational and problem-solving skills.
