Travel Agent Support Manager
Up to £25,000 dependent on experience

The role will be primarily home based with 2 days a week office based in Walsall, close to both motorway and rail links.

Working Monday to Friday with occasional yet limited weekend hours

A highly successful, independent travel group are looking for a Travel Agent Support Manager to provide day to day support for their large network of Home Working Personal Travel Agents. This is a new role that is expanding due to successful growth of their Home Working Personal Travel Agents division.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity if you have proven travel industry managerial experience as well as a passion for coaching and mentoring individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • To directly work with and motivate a team of Personal Travel Agents with their day to day business to support them with motivation, ideas, support and the delivery of their business plans
  • To organise and co-ordinate training
  • To identify areas of improvement needed and to work with the Agent to successfully implement improvement strategies
  • Build and sustain effective professional relationships with all Personal Travel Agents
  • Support and drive profitable performance towards the achievement of individual PTA forecasted sales and profit plans
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered by our Personal Travel Agents

Skills and Experience required

  • A proven and demonstrable record in successful people management
  • At least 3 years' experience in a retail travel environment with a proven sales record
  • Experience in training and personal coaching
  • Strong people management skills and effective communicator
  • Can adapt a style to suit the needs of the individual
  • Passionate about their role
  • Outgoing and flexible, a positive team player and can successfully motivates others
