Do you want to work for a leading independent Tour Operator who specialise in luxury long haul destinations including Middle East, Indian Ocean & Far East? Then read on!!
As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for growing the company's market share, looking after dedicated accounts, creating new/nurturing existing business relationships, promoting a positive image to all UK Travel Agents and representing the brand at company and industry events. JOB DESCRIPTION:
As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for growing the company's market share, looking after dedicated accounts, creating new/nurturing existing business relationships, promoting a positive image to all UK Travel Agents and representing the brand at company and industry events.
Predominantly field based, this role also offers some days in the head office and working from home.
There is a need for flexibility and commitment to various events and overseas trips and an overall passion for travel and what we do!
This role would suit someone who is sales driven, thrives on seeking out new business opportunities and is looking for the next step in an already successful career in this area.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Minimum of two years' experience in a field based role within the travel industry (ideally with a tour operator)
* Be able to demonstrate a proven successful record in travel account management including giving examples of how new business partners have been brought on board
* Have a good eye for detail when looking at sales figures to identify trends and changes in performance levels in order to take necessary action
* Display strong communication and presentation skills at all levels (from home workers to travel agents teams right up to business owners and Directors)
* Be well-organised with the ability to forward plan on sales calls, meetings, joint marketing activity, events and training
* Show confidence in planning and hosting training events, road shows and overseas fam trips for key groups of travel industry partners
* Must be flexible and prepared to travel extensively throughout the UK (mostly to the south of Birmingham with occasional visits further north) working extra hours including some weekends and evenings when required
* Be happy working independently and able organise own workload to suit business needs
* Be confident with use of social media to promote yourself and company
* Have the ability to quickly build and foster good internal relationships to gain greater support around you when out of the office
* Show confidence and ease when dealing with senior figures within the company and the wider industry
* Ideally live within approx. 2 hrs from the head office where you will need to come to at least twice a month
* A full clean UK driving licence is essential

PACKAGE:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive basic salary from 28-30k depending on experience, plus company car, bonus & fantastic travel opportunities
