Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver our budgeted web visitors across a mix of online channels, including paid search, online calls and chats, meta search, affiliates, email and social media
  • Through the implementation and refinement of tracking and analytics, monitor analyse and report the performance of the digital channels vs budget
  • Work closely with the trading team to ensure traffic landings are optimised to the right page/hotel/offer to increase online conversion and call/chat engagement across channels
  • Organise and chair weekly update meetings with key stakeholders in the business and externally to review trading performance and agree trading actions to optimise performance
  • Work with key stakeholders in the business to develop and enhance online sales attribution reports
  • Day to day management and leadership of the digital marketing team and external agencies
  • Recruitment of the digital marketing team as core channels develop
  • Work with the development team in the development, implementation and optimisation of the meta search channel for both package holidays and hotel only
  • Work closely with the trading and off-line marketing teams to optimise choice and competitiveness of inventory merchandising on the comparison channels
  • Through leadership develop the email marketing strategy, working with the email marketing team and external stakeholders
  • Work with the trading team to ensure any ‘deals’ are marketed across all digital channels
  • Manage budgets against key KPI’s, providing sales forecasts where necessary
  • Optimise the performance of online chat, increasing user engagement
  • Creating strong campaigns in keeping with brand value

Skills / Experience Required

  • Experience of working in the travel industry, in a similar role at a senior level
  • Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate knowledge and skills
  • Ability to predict market trends, improve market share in all product channels and identify new opportunities
  • Proven record of achieving the delivery of year on year performance increase and KPI’s
  • Proven record of people management with the ability to lead, manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive, enthusiastic working environment to drive and maximise sales and marketing opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management expertise to deliver best practices for the whole business
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret relevant management information
  • Experience of budget management
  • Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills, at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced target orientated environment
  • Strong planning capability and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skill with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages – e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel
  • A passion for results and genuine desire to achieve, both personally and as part of a successful team
  • To be able to fulfil the travel mobility clause of this role
