Trinity Event Solutions is looking for a Senior Event Consultant to join their venue finding team. The role is office-based in Stamford and you will deal with a wide range of corporate clients in different industries, who are looking for venues for their meetings and conferences.

If you can build and manage client relationships and have good organisational, problem solving and selling abilities, then this is an opportunity to develop your skills.

Your role will include:

  • Day to day sourcing of venues for corporate events, both International & UK
  • Deliver proposals that match the clients’ briefs
  • Develop a professional relationship and manage your accounts effectively
  • Ensure the achievement of financial and non-financial targets
  • Work to ensure client retention, sales development and conversion growth
  • Excellent negotiation skills to ensure the best deal for the client and best commissions for Trinity
  • Arrange and attend site visits with clients
  • Develop extensive venue knowledge though proactive site visits, which may include some out of hours working
  • Participation in and support of Destination Champion programme which may include some overseas travel
  • Prioritisation of own workload
  • Additionally, the Senior Event Consultant role will include:
  • Supervision and coaching of an Event Consultant 
  • Supporting the Operations Manager & managing the team in their absence
  • Account management of our key clients
  • Creation and maintenance of client & event profiles

Skills and Ability

  • Good computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to develop professional relationships and to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels
  • Ability to promote and sell a service to clients confidently
  • Work to maximize Sales and Key Account opportunities
  • Outgoing, sociable and professional 
  • Good time management, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure

Experience

  • Whilst previous experience with venue finding would naturally be an advantage, it’s your skills, attitude and personality that are key for these roles.
  • Desirable experience would include:
  • A track record of previous sales success with a proven record in achieving targets
  • Account / Relationship Management experience
  • Experience of the hotel, events and meetings industry
  • Experience of the Leisure Retail or Corporate Travel industries
  • Experience of managing individuals or a team
