Are you an experienced procurement manager or commercial manager within the travel industry? Would you love to work for one of the biggest travel companies in the south west area? If so, then read on!

My client is looking for a Procurement Manager will work across all categories managing the establishment of the procurement function within the company, managing all stages of the procurement process from evolving and implementing strategy and policies, to working with the business community to detail requirements and manage the process through to contract award.

You will also be responsible for maximising value for money, ensuring compliance and developing best practices across all sites.
The Role.
* Working with business managers to determine purchasing requirements
* Developing tender documents to attain value on expenditure
* Develop procurement strategies across different categories
* Supplier management and liaison
* Manage contract renewals
* Interact with sister companies to attain value through synergies
* Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the business

Essential Skills
* Experienced procurement professional
* Experience of purchasing across all categories
* Development and management of tenders
* Stakeholder management skills
* Proficient negotiator and supplier manager
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
* Must be very organised with the ability to prioritise conflicting requirements.
* Influencing skills
* Strong track record of success in delivering financial savings
* IT competence (Word, Excel, Internet)
* Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure and cope with the demands of deadlines and targets
* Can demonstrate resilience & sound judgement
* Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment
* The ability and desire to travel

Great to have...
* CIPS accredited
* Experience of 'greenfield site' creation
* Project Management experience
* Experience of managing a team

Package:
Salary is very competitive for the area, up to £45k plus medical and pension benefits!
