PR Assistant required for a busy team with a variety of requirements, mainly across European markets (France, Italy and Germany) and assisting the team with administration, reporting, projects and events in the UK.
The Job:
*Providing administrative support to the PR Lead, PR Manager.
*Assisting with managing the output of work via the PR teams in Europe - France, Germany, Italy
*Assessing and processing media requests via the Miami team
*Building strong relationships with the European teams and developing an understanding of European media outlets
*Updating and drafting press materials
*Assisting in the writing and distribution of press releases and sharing information with European markets where relevant
*Managing the UK media database
*Completing daily coverage reports and evaluation, including logging and monitoring traditional and social media coverage
*Compiling coverage and activity reports for the UK and European markets on a monthly basis and assisting with the preparation of presentations for key stakeholders
*Assisting in the implementation of a social media strategy into all UK & European PR activity
*Attending media networking events when required
*Setting up and attending meetings with journalists to develop contacts and identify new opportunities
*Assisting with UK campaign sell-ins, where needed
*Assisting with promotional opportunities and affinity marketing
*Coordinating travel itineraries for press trips
*Attendance at, and support for, internal and external meetings, briefings and events
*Participating in brainstorming sessions
*Researching for campaigns
*Researching and coordinating opportunities with celebrities and influencers as well as print, online and broadcast media across all markets
*Lead on Internal Company Communications to include internal newsletter, and ensure that internal and external announcements and messages are aligned and fit with the company values
Skills Required:
*Bachelor's degree in PR, marketing, digital, English, journalism or related field
*Minimum of one years' experience within a busy press office. Will consider a recent graduate but must have completed relevant work experience/placement
*Competent user of social media in both a personal and professional environment, as well as an understanding of the role PR plays in the social media landscape
*Excellent oral and written communications skills
*Languages (French, German or Italian) are beneficial but not essential
*Strong presentation skills
*Copywriting and proof-reading skills
*Ability to meet deadlines and to work as a team player with all departments
*Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple projects
*A strong understanding of the media landscape across print and digital. Understanding of French, German or Italian media is beneficial but not essential
*A personal interest in overseas travel
The Package:
*Monday - Friday office hours up to £19,000 Pro Rota 7-8 Month Fixed Term Contract
