We are seeking a bright, creative and target-driven Marketing and Social Media Executive to join our dynamic team. This is the perfect role for a talented and confident communicator who’s focused on achieving results, using their initiative and staying ahead of the game. Working in a team of four, you will report directly to the Head of Marketing.

It’s a full-time role working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm at our office in West Kensington, London. The role will require occasional out-of-hours social media cover and weekend work during our consumer expo periods.

Key areas of responsibility:

EDMs and Audience Segmentation

  • Produce/build e-marketing campaigns within our EMS, ensuring visually engaging layouts, as well as effective and accurate email copy
  • Plan, create, test and deploy automated nurture tracks and other triggered email automations, reviewing continuously to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Using our email CMS to manage audience segmentation to ensure effective audience targeting and personalisation
  • Monitoring open and click-through rates to evaluate performance and ensure best practice
  • Develop initiatives to help improve and drive data capture across all customer touch points including the website, social media and competitions

Social Media

  • Sourcing, creating and scheduling content, and moderating user-generated content, on our key social media channels
  • Maintaining, developing and optimising our existing social media company pages
  • Continuously improving our social media activity by capturing and analysing data/metrics and acting on the information
  • Keeping up-to-date with social media technology changes and popular trends to ensure we’re delivering relevant and timely content in fresh and innovative ways
  • Implementing compelling communication strategies across social media channels, ensuring user retention, engagement and outreach

Consumer Events

  • Organise our participation in consumer travel expos held in the UK and USA
  • Manage the logistics of each expo to ensure they are correctly staffed and deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Liaise with our designer to create display banners, marketing collateral and merchandise to drive brand awareness and effectively deliver news of our expo deals
  • Develop competitions and other initiatives to drive data capture
  • Research and assess new opportunities to ensure we’re growing our influence

Public Relations

  • Writing engaging press articles and features to be delivered to our database of B2C and B2B journalists and media contacts
  • Managing relationships with our PR executives/agencies around the world to ensure a coordinated approach to our PR activities
  • Proactively respond to PR and media queries in a timely manner to gain coverage offline and links online
  • Work with publications to secure positive coverage of our product
  • Actively look for new opportunities for coverage

Travel Award Programmes

  • Organising our participation and nomination in leading travel award programmes
  • Creating and delivering marketing campaigns during the voting process to drive success
  • Managing our attendance at award shows
  • Identifying new opportunities for participation in travel award programmes

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Previous email and social media marketing experience (minimum two years)
  • Understanding of segmentation and audience targeting
  • Strong awareness and understanding of key trends and social media technology changes
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team
  • The drive to achieve targets while maintaining high quality at all times
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in writing and proofing
  • Excellent copy-editing and communication skills
  • Strong administration skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Competency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • A creative thinker able to suggest new ideas/concepts, which help to meet our objectives
