I have an exciting vacancy for a Senior Web Developer to join a growing team within a very exciting travel organisation in the Swindon Area. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Web Developer to be part of a leading and innovative organisation based in Swindon. The new team will support local developments and manage any 3rd parties engaged in outsourced development. Dynamic, fast changing organisation. THE JOB:
To manage our web development across 6 countries in line with business strategy and requirements.
*Website development and Project Management
*Active management and development of websites.
*Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
*Oversee management and optimisation of digital infrastructure including servers and continued site optimisation (speed, SEO) for best global website performance.
*Management of 3rd party suppliers for both server hosting and outsourced development.
*Implement functionality upgrades both front and back end to improve systems performance eg. automation of internal processes, reporting, partner feed / portals.
*Lead development and enhancement of new and existing websites with a particular focus on complex data management and visualisations, linking backend database systems with interactive frontend user experiences for a range of audiences
*Oversee development and management of a central master SQL database system for secure storage, managed access and easily data - Work closely with our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team to develop systems to query and visualise complex data sets and build programme and project specific dashboards - Ensure data moves neatly between multiple systems using custom APIs.

EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
*Excellent knowledge of .NET MVC C#, PHP, SQL, CSS3, HTML5, JS, Bootstrap
*Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
*Skill for writing reusable libraries
*Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
*The ability for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
*Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
*Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
*Project Management
*Demonstrable experience developing data dashboards linking multiple data sources to create user friendly live reporting
*Version control experience & exposure to 3rd party API integrations
*Demonstrable experience conducting user interface and experience research to understand potential audiences driving statistics and with a proven ability to present results clearly and succinctly to inform product development and future campaigns
*Flexible, adaptable approach to changing priorities

DESIRABLE:
*Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills with ability to relate to and work effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, at all levels


THE PACKAGE:
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a fantastic basic salary in the region of £45000 -£50000 which would be dependent on experience, you will also be entitled to some amazing company benefits and the hours are Monday - Friday 9-5.30.
